CWC winter session update

    Below are a few updates for the final weeks of the CWC winter session

• The Winter session will be extended for those competing on March 4th (Hornet Open, Orange K-8).  Extended schedule below:

Below is the direction to Covenant School in Charlottesville for VAWA States weigh-ins Friday evening (6-8PM).

 

Directions: From Interstate 64, take Exit 120 for Fifth Street. Turn south on Fifth Street Extended (away from town) approximately 1/4 mile. Turn left on Stagecoach Road; take the first left on Oak Hill; then the first right on to Hickory Street.

 

The Covenant School, 175 Hickory Street, Charlottesville, VA 22902

 

Our Upper School is located at 175 Hickory Street, Charlottesville, VA.  Enter the building at the gymnasium entrance at the far end of the parking lot (if you are looking at the front entrance to the school, the gym entrance will be off to the right). There should be signs posted leading to the wrestling room.

CWC Updates Including Spring Registration

All,

               

                Spring registration is now open!  The spring session is for all ages and will cover Folkstyle & Freestyle!

 

                Also, other notables updates below:

 

1.       Practice on Monday 02/06 is cancelled due to parking restrictions for a UVA Basketball home game.

2.       CWC Dual meet before UVA vs. Pitt.  Details here.

CWC Dual Before UVA vs. Pitt

All,

 

                CWC will be wrestling a dual meet before UVA vs. Pitt (02/12).  Details below:

 

·         CWC Dual / competition (all age groups)

·         02/12, before the UVA match vs. Pitt

·         UVA Memorial gym

·         Doors open 9:30 AM, wrestling by 10 AM, off mat by 11:45 AM (college match at 1 PM)

·         Pizza after wrestling

·         Interaction with UVA coach Garland!

Quick Reminder

    A quick reminder that tomorrow's practice / competition (Thursday 02/01) will be held at Wilson Memorial High School for elementary and middle schoolers at 6 PM.  No practice will be held in the UVA wrestling room this Thursday.

    Also, if anyone gets hungry for pizza today in Crozet, there is a fundraiser for the WAHS wrestling team at Sal's pizza.  Sal's pizza will donate a percentage of sales to the WAHS wrestling team to help purchase new mats (see below):
