CWC Winter Session / Online Gear Store

Good afternoon CWC Families,

CAVALIER WRESTLING CLUB TEAM STORE

Our new online team gear store is open, but ORDER SOON! To ensure the gear arrives before January tournaments, the online store is only available until THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 26!

WINTER SESSION

Practices begin next Monday, November 27, and end February 22. The practice schedule is as follows:
  • Pee-Wee: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Beginner/Intermediate: Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Advanced: Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Practices are held at Memorial Gymnasium, 210 Emmet St S Charlottesville, VA 22903.

Please enter through the back of Memorial Gym, on the end nearest the Central Grounds Parking Garage. A back door will be propped open about 10 minutes prior to the start of practice. Please sign your children in and out of practice each day, as this is a UVA requirement for youth sports. There will be a sign in sheet available right inside the wrestling room. 

At the beginning of the first day of practice, we ask that parents/caregivers please stick around for a brief meeting.

What to bring/wear to practice: shorts, t-shirt, wrestling shoes (socks are okay if you do not have wrestling shoes), water bottle

If you have not registered with USA wrestling or renewed your membership, this must be done prior to the first day of practice. Please email me your USA wrestling membership number if you did not include that in your registration info. This can be done here: https://www.usawmembership.com/login

LAST WEEK of Fall Session

CWC Families,

Next week is our last week of the fall session!
We hope your children have enjoyed wrestling with us this fall, and we hope to see them again for the winter session! There is a break Thanksgiving week.
  • Last practice of fall session: Wednesday, November 15
  • First practice of winter session: Monday, November 27
For the winter session, please note that there is a $150 sibling discount if you are registering more than one child. To get this discount, on the first page when you enter the second (also 3rd, etc.) child's name, click on the "Enter Code" button at the top of the page. The code is SIBLING. For this to work, you have to have the first child in your cart already. 

If you have already registered and would like the $150 sibling discount, please send me an email and we will refund you.

We will be sending CWC coaches to this intermediate-level open tournament. To sign up, go to www.trackwrestling.com and search "River City Turkey Tussle," or click HERE. If you have never used trackwrestling, you will need to create an account. If you have questions about competing, please ask a coach at practice next week. If you have questions about registering/trackwrestling, feel free to email me. This winter, we will offer more opportunities to compete at more intermediate as well as beginner level tournaments/matches.

We are in the final steps of finalizing an online team store with new singlets, as well as other Cavalier Wrestling Club gear. Be on the lookout for an email soon!

CWC Winter Session

Cavalier Wrestling Club Families,

 

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the CWC Winter 2023-24 Session! It will run from November 27 - February 22.

 

Three sessions will be offered:

  • Pee-Wee: Tuesdays 5:30-6:30

  • Advanced: Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays 5:30-7:00

Additionally, we want to invite you to the UVA Wrestling Intrasquad meet tomorrow, Saturday, October 28, at 2:00! This will be held at the Aquatic & Fitness Center (AFC) on UVA Grounds. Admission is FREE! This will be a great opportunity for our young wrestlers to watch some high-level wrestling.

CWC Fall Session 2023

CWC Families,

 

Registration is now open for the CWC Fall 2023 Session that will run from 4 Sept-15 Nov 2023 at Memorial Gym. 

 

Two sessions will be offered.

 

Additionally, we hope you will join us for the CWC Golf Outing on 5 Aug 2023 at 830am at Meadowcreek Golf Course.  Even if you are unable to attend there are opportunities for hole-sponsorships or other contributions.

CWC 2022 Spring Sessions

CWC Parents,

 

For those that participated in the CWC sessions this Winter, we hope you had a great experience and are happy to announce continuing opportunities to improve in our Spring sessions.  For those of you that may have taken a break, the Spring sessions are a great way to get back into it.
